Should you wish to cancel a room, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible so that we are able to re-let the room. If you booked a room with a third party agent, such as Booking.com, your cancellation policy will be different and you will need to contact your agent for more information.
We ask for guests to check into their rooms from 4:00pm on the day of arrival. Sometimes, we can cater for an earlier check in from 2:00pm by arrangement for £10.00 per room. We do cater for late arrivals, however, this is strictly by arrangement only. If you think you will be later than 9:00pm, please telephone us in advance and we will make sure someone is here when you arrive. Guests are required to check out of their rooms before 10:00am on the morning of departure. An extra hour for last minute shopping or a later breakfast is available for £10.00 per room.
We have a cot that we are able to provide to guests. We do ask that guests provide their own bedding for its use. If you require the cot, please reserve it when you place your reservation as we only have one available.

In Boscastle, all local residents and visitors are restricted to using the large pay and display car park opposite the Cobweb Inn, only 50 meters from the property. This car park charges daily from 9:00am to 4:00pm. After this time, the car park is free. There are plenty of spaces and even an overflow section which does get busy during peak periods in the summer months but does empty out towards the end of the afternoon. Payment can be made at the pay and display machines or by using the online and mobile telephone app JustPark. For more information, please see Cornwall Council’s car park information.
For your information, JustPark is a parking app, website and phone service that allows you to pay for parking in the majority of Cornwall Council car parks. It offers convenience and flexibility, enabling you to make stress free parking payments. There is no need to find coins to use in the machines and you can top up your parking (subject to the maximum stay allowed) without having to return to the car park. Registering is very quick and simple, you only need to do it once and your details will be kept. Paying after that could not be simpler. You can register online or download the apps for iPhones or Android smartphones. The location code of the pay and display in Boscastle is ‘8224 – Cobweb’.
The Riverside does not allow dogs in the serviced accommodation (other than certified assistance dogs) but we do offer small and well behaved dogs into the self-catering apartment by prior arrangement only. Generally, as a premise, we do not allow for dogs on site other than certificated assistance dogs. However, during quiet times, we may accept little and well-behaved dogs in a quiet corner in the restaurant or whilst there is no one in the dining room to access the garden. At times of our evening and Sunday service when we are busy, we generally do not allow for dogs on the premise.
Our preferred payment is by cash. We accept all major credit and debit cards with the exception of American Express. Payment details are pre-authorised at the time of booking and on your departure, guests are requested to settled their account personally at the bar.
It is the policy of The Riverside that all our premises is smoke-free and that all our guests and employees have the right to enjoy a smoke-free environment. Smoking is permitted in the garden area to the rear of the property during opening hours.
